This is a 1-1 workshop tailored to you.

For photographers. Must have basic knowledge of manual camera settings and some photography experience. This is not suitable for total beginners.

I offer this to photographers wanting to expand their skills in newborn photography.
Learn how to produce beautiful timeless images every time!
With 2000+ newborns experience i have tailored my own sessions over the years to my own particular style which is heavily sought after with clients from far and wide.
I have developed a certain workflow which ensures i can be time efficient but still get the most i can for a gallery.

You will see me demonstrate and explain the purpose of my own personal workflow which ensures the least disruption possible for baby. I will also demonstrate how to utilise each position to create a wide variety images using different angles to provide a full gallery whilst being time effective also.
I will show you soothing technique throughout and also how to communicate best with parents to put them at ease during the session.

As well as flow posing across beanbag and props you will learn wrapping techniques, lighting technique, and correct angles to flatter baby.
Most importantly, i will be demonstrating throughout the safety of everything throughout to ensure these tiny humans are as comfortable and as safe as possible.

You will be able to shoot some of the poses yourself to edit / work on and for reference if desired. You are encouraged to take behind the scenes images of anything i do on the day for your own personal reference.

I use studio light (flash) so will be demonstrating with this on the day. If you use natural light i will also explain how to adapt what i do to suit.
If you have a trigger that works with a D-lite one, bring that with you!
I shoot with a 50mm or 35mm so if you have one of these, bring it along. If you dont, just bring what you have.

The class will run 10am - 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break.
I will provide bottles of water and some snacks for throughout the day. There is a co - op and a sayers below, a cafe also that does food and sandwiches.

The studio address is 130 Sandy Lane, Skelmersdale, Lancashire WN8 8LQ and the nearest train stations are Parbold, Wigan Wallgate or Ormskirk.
The studio is around 10 minutes away from the above stations so if you are using train links you may need to get a taxi from the station. This will be approximately £8-10.

You are welcome to bring your camera, but please definitely bring a notebook and pen as you will have a LOT of information and tips and tricks thrown your way so you will want to write down as much as you can. It will be a lot to take in so please don't rely on memory alone.

The workshop will be very interactive so i encourage questions throughout. Please don't be afraid to ask questions about what i'm doing, i'm quite happy to stop and demonstrate things more in depth if needs be.

There will be two newborn models on the day.
Editing will be discussed and which presets / actions i like to use.
My recommended prop vendors will also be shared.

£99 deposit to book - remaining £600 due no later than 24 hours before the workshop.
Deposits are non refundable.

*** 2024 dates will only have ONE space per month due to me being on maternity leave with my twins. 1-1's will likely take place on a Saturday whilst this is the case ***
